With a brace in the 2-0 victory at Texas Tech (Sept. 25), Texas sophomore forward Trinity Byars has now SCORED 10 GOALS IN A SINGLE SEASON FASTER THAN ANY LONGHORNS PLAYER IN SCHOOL HISTORY (10 matches played). The old mark of 10 goals over 13 matches played was shared by former Texas All-Americans Kelly McDonald (2003), Kelly Wilson (2001) & Cyera Hintzen (2018).
Texas needed just 11 matches to reach the 100-point plateau on Sept. 25 at Texas Tech. That tied the 1997 & 2000 Longhorns squads' SCHOOL RECORD FOR FASTEST TO 100 POINTS IN A SINGLE CAMPAIGN IN PROGRAM HISTORY. The UT record of 172 total points is shared by the 2002 & 2004 Longhorns.
Texas leads its all-time series over Baylor by a total of 16-9-5, including 8-3-2 in matches held in Austin. The Longhorns have dominated the recent series over the Bears, registering a 4-0-1 mark over the last five contests. Overall, dating back to Oct. 31, 2008, the last seven match-ups in Austin have been settled by one goal or required overtime.
Texas enters Friday riding an 11-MATCH BIG 12 CONFERENCE REGULAR-SEASON UNBEATEN STREAK (7-0-4). UT's last regular-season Big 12 defeat OCCURRED 693 DAYS AGO back on Nov. 6, 2020, in a 1-0 loss at Texas Tech.
The Longhorns currently rank SECOND IN NCAA DIVISION I in assists and FOURTH in assists-per-match (3.27) with 36 helpers over their first 11 contests. Individually, sophomore midfielder Lexi Missimo is tied for THIRD IN THE NATION in total assists (eight) and assists-per-match (0.80).

Sophomore forward Trinity Byars in rolling along offensively after missing the start of the 2022 fall campaign on international duty. The Richardson, Texas, native has now scored a goal in six of the Longhorns last nine matches (owns points in seven-of-10 contests) and has totaled at least one point in 19 of her 32 career matches.
Sophomore forward Trinity Byars registered her SECOND CAREER HAT TRICK and the 16th all-time in program history during the 8-0 rout of Texas Southern (Sept. 15).
Texas sophomores Trinity Byars (2.40) and Lexi Missimo (1.80) currently rank No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, in the latest Big 12 points-per-match statistics. The duo also ranks in the league's current top 10 in points, points-per-match, goals, goals-per-match, assists and assists-per-match. Byars tops the league in points (24) and goals (10), while Missmo leads in assists (eight).
