Men’s Tennis preview: ITA Texas Regional Championships

The Longhorns will compete in tournament play against Texas Region opponents in Fort Worth from Oct. 19-24.
Austin – Eight members of the Texas Men's Tennis Team will compete in the ITA Texas Regional Championships from Oct. 19-24 in Fort Worth.
In singles, that group will include junior 1 seed No. 16 Pierre-Yves Bailly, senior 2 seed No. 17 Micah Braswell, senior 4 seed No. 28 Siem Woldeab, sophomore 6 seed No. 45 Jonah Braswell, senior 9 seed Cleeve Harper, senior Evin McDonald, freshman Lucas Brown and senior Eshan Talluri.
Talluri, who is the 7 seed in the singles qualifying draw, will begin that on Thursday at 12 p.m. CT and will need one win to reach the main draw after receiving a first-round bye. He will face either Agustin Salazar of UTRGV or Iannis Fernandes of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. The main draws for both singles and doubles will then begin on Friday.
The doubles schedule and draws will be released at a later time.
