Texas set to conclude the 2023 regular season slate with matchup against TCU
AUSTIN, Texas – The University of Texas' women's soccer program will wrap up its 18-match regular season tilt on Monday, Oct. 23, when the Longhorns face off against TCU at 7 p.m. CT at Mike A. Myers Stadium.
Alex Loeb (play by play) and Jessica Stamp (analyst) will be wearing the headsets and call the match's action on the Longhorn Network.
KICKING OFF
- Lexi Missimo will enter Monday night's match against TCU with 21 points — nine goals, three assists — in nine Big 12 Conference matches this season.
- Missimo's point total is the most by a women's soccer student-athlete in the Big 12 since Nebraska's Morgan Marlborough was created with 27 during her sophomore season in 2010.
- With her next goal, Lexi Missimo will become the first Big 12 women's soccer student-athlete to score 20-or-more goals in a single season since Nebraska's Morgan Marlborough netted 21 as a freshman in 2009.
- If she's able to surpass the 20-goal, 20-assist mark this season, Lexi Missimo would become the first women's soccer student-athlete in the Big 12's history to achieve a 20-20 season.
- Missimo would become the first Division I women's soccer student-athlete to score 20-or-more goals and be credited with 20-or-more assists in a single season since Stanford's Catarina Macario went for 32 goals and 23 assists throughout the 2019 campaign.
- Missimo will take the pitch against the Horned Frogs needing two assists and a goal to accomplish the feat.
- Missimo would become the first Division I women's soccer student-athlete to score 20-or-more goals and be credited with 20-or-more assists in a single season since Stanford's Catarina Macario went for 32 goals and 23 assists throughout the 2019 campaign.
- Heading into Monday evening's contest, Lexi Missimo is currently tied for fifth place on the Big 12's single-season point list (56) and second on the assist leaderboard (18).

- Lexi is also tied for sixth on the league's single-season assists list — courtesy of her 15-assist campaign during the 2022 season — which makes her the only women's soccer student-athlete in league history to record multiple 15-or-more assists in a single season.
SERIES HISTORY
- Texas currently holds a 6-1-2 all-time record against TCU in matches played at Mike A. Myers Stadium.
- The Longhorns are 3-0-2 over their last five matches versus the Horned Frogs on the Forty Acres, dating back to TCU's last win, a 2-1 result, over Texas in Austin on Aug. 21, 2009.
- Overall, Texas is 9-7-5 all time against TCU with the two programs playing to a 1-1 tie after 90 minutes in Fort Worth when the two last met on Sept. 22, 2022.
- Texas has never lost to TCU — 3-0-1 — when the two programs have linked up in Austin during the month of October:
