No. 5 Women’s Golf finishes eighth at Stanford Intercollegiate

Sophomore Angela Heo leads Texas with T14 finish.
STANFORD, Calif. — The No. 5 University of Texas women's golf team concluded their fall slate with an eighth-place finish at the Stanford Intercollegiate on Sunday.
Texas shot an eight-over-par 292 for the final round of the tournament and finished with scores of 280-293-292=865 (+13). No. 11 Southern California shot four-under-par in the final round and captured the tournament title at nine-under-par. No. 22 Northwestern (-2) and No. 1 Stanford (+2) followed. The Longhorns earned a head-to-head win over No. 4 Oregon in the tournament.
Angela Heo carded an even par 71 in the final round and finished at even par for the tournament for a T14 finish. Freshman Farah O'Keefe completed her fourth tournament at T22 and has finished in the top-25 in all four of her events this season. O'Keefe has shot par or better in 10 of her 12 rounds this season with a stroke average of 70.42.
The Lineup
• Angela Heo carded rounds of 70-72-71 for an even par 213 and a T14 finish in the tournament. Heo was three-under-par through nine holes in her final round. Heo was one of 18 players in the field to make an eagle this week. Heo had the third best par-5 scoring average in the field at 4.33 and was eight-under-par on the par-5 holes.
• Farah O'Keefe shot 73-71-70 for a one-over-par 214 score. O'Keefe made four birdies in her final round. O'Keefe carded 11 birdies for the tournament.
• Bohyun Park shot 70-73-75 for a five-over-par 218 and a T42 finish. Park carded three birdies on her final round scorecard. Park was one of the 18 players that made an eagle in the tournament. Park shot nine-under-par on the par-5's and had the second best par-5 scoring average in the field at 4.25. Park had two top-10 finishes in the fall season for the Longhorns.
• Bentley Cotton carded a seven-over-par 78 for the third round of the tournament. Cotton finished T8 at the Windy City Classic and T12 at the Jackson T. Stephens Cup.
• Tiffany Cao made four birdies in her final round and carded a five-over-par 76.
