Harris wins 1-meter competition at Texas Diving Invitational

Nick Harris sets season-best score in win at home.
AUSTIN, Texas – Nick Harris of the No. 7 men's dive team won the opening event of the 2023 Texas Diving Invitational on Wednesday at the Texas Swimming Center.
Harris scored a season-high 397.13 points on the 1-meter to lead Texas' with the top-five scorers of the meet. Noah Duperre was the close runner-up with 383.03 points, his second-best score of the season.

Freshman Tanner Braunton rounded out the top-three scorers with a season-high 374.48 points.
Senior Brendan McCourt (357.45) and Manuel Borowski (349.73) finished fourth and fifth, respectively, while Pierce Brooke closed out the competitors in seventh with 313.28 points.
Texas returns to the pool Thursday at 1 p.m. for the 3-meter prelims and will compete in the finals at 6:30 p.m. Finals will be streamed on the Longhorn Network.
