Modglin of No. 13 Men's Swim and Dive wins third event at Texas Invitational

UT's 400 free relay hits NCAA-A cut time.
AUSTIN, Texas – Will Modglin of the No. 13 men's swim and dive team picked up his third individual win of the Texas Invitational on Saturday night.
Modglin took home the 200 back with his time of 1:38.99 – an NCAA A-cut time – for his fifth overall win of the week. Modglin now ranks as the No. 6 performer in Texas history and is the 22nd-fastest time in Texas history. Chris O'Connor finished third with a time of 1:40.42, while Nate Germonprez was eighth in 1:45.72.
Alec Enyeart added a fourth-place finish in the 1650 free with a time of 15:02.38 and Sasha Lyubavskiy was sixth with a time of 15:14.43.
In the 200 breast, freshman Brayden Taivassalo finished third with his time of 1:53.89. Fellow freshman Will Scholtz was fifth with a time of 1:54.35 and sophomore Alex Turney finished eighth in 1:57.58. All three times met the NCAA-B cut.
Modglin, Luke Hobson, Coby Carrozza and Germonprez helped Texas meet the NCAA-A cut time in the 400 free with a time of 2:49.98.
