No. 3 Volleyball falls at Kansas State

MANHATTAN, Kan. – No. 3 Texas Volleyball lost to Kansas State, 25-22, 25-22, 25-21, on Wednesday night at Morgan Family Arena.
The Longhorns (18-4, 13-1) will return home to Gregory Gym to host Cincinnati on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Madisen Skinner finished with 14 kills, while Molly Phillips had eight kills and a .417 hitting percentage.
Ella Swindle had 25 assists and seven kills on 13 total attempts.
The Longhorns trailed nearly the entire first set before coming back to tie it up at 22-all. Kansas State managed to finish it on a 3-0 run to win the set 25-22. The Wildcats hit at an extremely high clip, with a .393 hitting percentage in the opening set.
Texas started well in the second set, grabbing a 7-4 lead before the Wildcats stormed back with a 7-1 run to grab an 11-8 lead in the set. Kansas State would hold onto that lead the rest of the way and win 25-22 to take a 2-0 lead in the match.
Kansas State put the match away with a 25-21 win the third set, hitting .361 in the set.
