No. 1 Women's Track and Field breaks 4x400 school record

No. 4 Men's Track runs 10th-fastest 4x400 time in school history.
CLEMSON, S.C. – The Texas track and field relay teams were rolling as the No. 1 women broke the program record while the No. 4 men ran the 10th-fastest time in school history on the final day of the Tiger Paw Invitational.
The women teamed of Rachel Helbling, Rhasidat Adeleke, Julien Alfred and Kennedy Simon came into the meet with the No. 6 time in the NCAA and left Clemson with the second-fastest time in the NCAA this season at 3:26.73. Saturday's time took down the NCAA runner-up team of Briana Nelson, Courtney Okolo, Kendall Baisden and Ashley Spencer who previously held the record with a time of 3:27.42 set in 2014.
On the men's side, Christopher Brinkley Jr., Jonathan Jones, Marcellus Moore and Caleb Hulbin broke into the All-Time performance list at No. 10 with their time of 3:05.91.
Adeleke added her own individual win in the 200m with her time of 22.68, the eight-fastest time in school history. Lanae-Tava Thomas finished as the runner-up with her season-best time of 22.94, while Kevona Davis also recorded a season-best time of 22.99.
Moore finished 10th for the men with the 10th-fastest time ever at Texas at 20.78, while junior college transfer Nolton Shelvin finished at 21.03.
The Longhorns added a pair of top-10 finishes in the field events after Trinity Tomlinson cleared 1.79m (5-10.5) in the high jump to finish seventh, while Patrick Piperi also finished seventh in shot with his throw of 18.74m (61-5.75).
Back in Boston at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational, the men's distance crew made quick work of re-writing Texas history. Crayton Carrozza set his second program record of the season after finishing the mile with a Texas record time of 3:56.79. It's the sixth time in his career he's ran a sub-four minute mile and is also a personal best.
Cruz Gomez, the previous mile record holder, finished his race in 4:06.71 in just his second indoor meet of the season. Freshman Logan Patete finished in 4:11.58, while sophomore Edwin Gomez crossed the finish line in 4:15.44.
