No. 5 Men’s Swimming & Diving qualifies 18 for NCAA Championships

The Longhorns had 15 swimmers and three divers earn qualifying marks for the championship meet in Minneapolis.
AUSTIN, Texas – No. 5 Men's Swimming and Diving had 18 student-athletes qualify for the upcoming 2023 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships to be held at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center on the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis from March 22-25. Additionally, the Longhorns have qualified all five of its swimming relays for the national meet.
Junior Carson Foster, fresh off his second consecutive Big 12 Championship Swimmer of the Meet honor, heads into the national meet seeded second in the 400 IM, fourth in the 200 IM and fifth in the 200 back.
Joining Carson Foster among the top-10 seeds in the 400 IM are junior David Johnston and senior Jake Foster, who are seeded eighth and ninth, respectively.
Johnston is seeded in the top 10 in a trio of events, heading into the national championship at number three in the 1650 free and number six in the 500 free, to go along with his number eight mark in the 400 IM.
Sophomore Luke Hobson is the eight-seed in the 200 free and senior Caspar Corbeau is number 10 in the 100 breast.
In the diving well, junior Noah Duperre will compete in all three events (1-meter, 3-meter, platform), while freshman Nick Harris and junior Brendan McCourt will compete on 1-meter and 3-meter.
