Kelly also spent nine years as a member of the Canadian Women's National Team (CANWNT) and started every match at midfield for the CANWNT at the 1995 FIFA Women's World Cup. She also won two national championships in the W-League for the Raleigh Wings. In May 2004, Kelly became just the third woman to be enshrined in the Canadian Soccer Hall of Fame.
