No. 7 Women’s Golf moves into fifth at ANNIKA Intercollegiate

LAKE ELMO, Minn. — The No. 7 Texas Women's Golf team shot the best second round of the 12-team field as they carded an eight-under-par 280 and moved into a tie for fifth place after the second round of the ANNIKA Intercollegiate presented by 3M at Royal Golf Club.
The Longhorn made 15 total birdies on their first nine holes, which started off hole 10 and had 20 birdies for the round. Texas at one point was 10-under-par on the day through nine holes. The Longhorns are eight-under-par for the tournament.
Freshman Farah O'Keefe led Texas with a five-under-par 67 as she shot an opening nine hole 31 and tallied six birdies on her scorecard. O'Keefe's 67 was the best individual round of the day and she is tied for third on the player leaderboard going into the final round of the tournament.
Cindy Hsu, Bentley Cotton and Lauren Kim all shot one-under-par in the second round.
The ANNIKA Intercollegiate concludes tomorrow with 18 holes. Texas will be paired with San Jose State and Texas A&M in the final round and will start at 8:30 a.m. central time off hole one.
The Lineup
• Farah O'Keefe, the native of Austin, Texas, made five birdies on her first nine holes including three straight on holes 16, 17 and 18, her 7th, 8th and 9th holes of the day. O'Keefe moved up 16 spots on day two of the tournament.
• Cindy Hsu carded her second straight 71 of the tournament and is two-under-par after a one-under-par 71 on Tuesday. Hsu made three birdies on her first nine holes of the round.
• Lauren Kim is even par for the tournament after a one-under-par 71 in her second round. Kim made three birdies and no bogeys on her first nine holes of the day.
• Bentley Cotton improved on her first round to shoot a one-under-par 72 in the second round. Cotton made three birdies in her round.
• Selina Liao carded a one-over-par 73 on Tuesday in her second round. Liao made four birdies over her 18 holes.

• All-American Bohyun Park carded an even par 72 and finished at four-under-par for the tournament and a seventh-place finish. It is her fifth career top-10 finish in her collegiate career.
• Tiffany Cao shot 76-76-77 for a 13-over par 229. Cao made four birdies in her final round.
• Angela Heo shot 76-77-77 for a 14-over par 230. Heo made one birdie in her final round.
