No. 13/NR M/W Cross Country both finish second at Cowboy Jamboree

Beth Ramos and Devin Hart lead Texas to runner-up team finishes.

STILLWATER, Okla. – The No. 13/NR Texas cross country programs both finished second at the 85^th Annual Cowboy Jamboree hosted by Oklahoma State at the Greiner Family OSU CC Course.

The women started the day in the 6K and were led by fifth-year Beth Ramos who posted her best finish at the Cowboy Jamboree in fifth-place with a time of 21:14.9. Junior Eva Jess joined Ramos as the two top-10 finishers as Jess finished seventh with a time of 21:37.0.

The final three scorers who helped the Longhorns score 52 points were sophomore Elizabeth Pickett who finished 14^th at 22:21.0, Maddie Hatfield who finished 19^th (22:35.1) and Brighton Mooney who finished with a time of 22:39.2 in 23^rd.

Texas finished 36 points back of the No. 3 host Cowgirls.

The No. 13 men were led by senior Devin Hart who finished third with his time of 23:44.6. Hart has now led Texas in back-to-back races after winning the season-opener at the Stormy Seas Invitational and now at the Cowboy Jamboree. Rodger Rivera finished fifth in the next cluster of Longhorns to finish with his time of 24:06.3, Issac Alonzo was sixth in a time of 24:11.1 and Haftu Knight in seventh at 24:14.3.

Sophomore Nathanael Berhane rounded out the scorers finishing 11^th with his time of 24:32.2, a seven-second PB.

Texas totaled 32 points, just six points behind the No. 2 Cowboys. Last season, the Longhorns finished 12^th overall and scored 284 points.
