Texas to hit the road, look to continue winning ways away from Austin
AUSTIN, Texas – The University of Texas women's soccer program will look to pick up its third win away from Mike A. Myers Stadium this season as the Longhorns travel to Lawrence, Kan., to square off against Kansas at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 1.
Dave Stewart (play by play) and Sarah Gonzalez (analyst) will bring the action to life on the ESPN+ stream from the broadcast booth.
KICKING OFF
- A win in Lawrence over the Jayhawks on Sunday would mark the 20th all-time win for The University of Texas women's soccer program against Kansas dating back to the first-ever meeting between the two programs on Sept. 15, 1996.
- Kansas (19) would join Iowa State (25) as the only opponents Texas has beaten 20-or-more times throughout the Longhorns' 30-year history.
- The list could potentially add a third team later this season when Texas faces off against Oklahoma (19) on Thursday, Oct. 12.

- The last time either team has scored more than two goals in a 90-minute match occurred on Oct. 25, 2002, when the Longhorns beat Kansas, 4-1.
- Dating back to the 2018 season, Texas is 4-1-1 against Kansas.
- Texas and Kansas have played at least one match against each other in every season since 1996.
