TV designations announced for No. 5 Softball’s Shriners Children’s Clearwater Invitational appearance

AUSTIN, Texas – On Monday afternoon, ESPN Events announced network and commentator lineups for the 2024 Shriners Children's Clearwater Invitational Presented by EvoShield, which will feature the No. 5 Texas Longhorns led by sixth-year head coach Mike White and a quintet of preseason All-Big 12 selections.
Texas' matchups against No. 2 Tennessee (Friday, Feb. 16 / 5 p.m. CT) and Kentucky (Saturday, Feb. 17 / 6 p.m. CT) can be seen on the Longhorn Network. The Longhorns' contest against No. 3 Stanford (Friday, Feb. 16 / 8 p.m. CT) will be broadcast to a nation-wide audience on ESPN2. UT's game against No. 25 Northwestern (Sunday, Feb. 18 / 8:30 a.m. CT) can be seen on ESPNU.
In the middle of those four matchups, Texas will play North Carolina at 1 p.m. CT on Saturday, Feb. 17 on ESPN+.
Texas and Northwestern were originally slated to play at 9 a.m. CT / 10 a.m. ET on Sunday, Feb. 18, but, to fill the open television window, the game has been moved up 30 minutes.
Texas is slated to begin its 2024 campaign on Friday, Feb. 9, when the Longhorns travel to California to play San Diego (2:30 p.m. CT / 12:30 p.m. PT) and No. 8 UCLA (8 p.m. CT / 6 p.m. PT). Following UT's game against Northwestern, the program will return to the Forty Acres for its first home game of the season when the Longhorns square off against Houston Christian at 5 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Feb. 21.
