No. 1 Volleyball’s Bergmark named Academic All-America

The Longhorns’ senior middle blocker is a third team Academic All-American.
AUSTIN, Texas – No. 1 Texas Volleyball's Bella Bergmark has been named a Third Team Academic All-American, the College Sports Communicators announced Tuesday.
Bergmark graduated from California with a bachelor's degree in nutritional science with an emphasis in physiology and metabolism before receiving a certificate in strategic communication from the University of Texas.
The Larkspur, Calif. native finished her career by winning a second-straight National Championship with the Longhorns. Bergmark played in all 32 matches this season and had 119 total blocks with 137 kills and a .328 hitting percentage.
The four Academic All-America teams, totaling 83 student-athletes, have a 3.86 cumulative grade-point average with 29 members posting a perfect 4.00 GPA. The Division I team boasted a 3.88 cumulative GPA.
