Men's Swimming's Hobson breaks 200 free & 4x200 free world records with Team USA

BUDAPEST – Texas men's swimmer Luke Hobson broke two world records at the World Aquatics Short Course World Championships on Friday.
Hobson, the two-time NCAA 200 freestyle champion, broke the world record off his first leg of the 4x200 free relay with a time of 1:38.91. His time broke the oldest SCM male world record set by Paul Biedermann in 2009 with his time of 1:39.37. It is the first individual world record for a UT student-athlete since Aaron Piersol broke the 100 backstroke also in 2009.
Hobson was joined by Texas Ex Carson Foster, Shaine Casas (Texas Pro) and Kieran Smith. It's the third World Record Hobson has broken at the Championships after breaking the 4x100 free earlier in the week.
Foster and Casas both added a gold medal to their names after Foster won the silver medal in the 400 free and Casas won the 200 IM.
