• GULF COAST SHOWCASE CHAMPIONS: The Longhorns went 3-0 last week to win the Gulf Coast Showcase in Estero, Fla. Texas won against New Mexico State, Butler and beat then No. 10 West Virginia in the championship game.
• CARLTON NATIONAL FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK: Texas freshman Justice Carlton was named the USBWA National Freshman of the Week as well as the SEC Freshman of the Week. Carlton averaged 15.3 points and 5.0 rebounds in the three games at the Gulf Coast Showcase. Carlton scored 30 points on 12-of-15 shooting in the win over Butler.
• OFFENSIVE PRODUCTION: The Longhorns are averaging 92.9 points per game and shooting 51.4 percent from the field for the season. For the first time since the 1987-88 season the Longhorns have scored 78 or more points in each of their first seven games.
• TEXAS PRESSURE: The Longhorns are forcing an average of 27 turnovers per game from opponents and hold a 236-84 advantage over opponents in points off turnovers.
• HARMON MOVES UP ON CAREER ASSIST LIST: Rori Harmon had nine assists against Butler and moved in third on the Longhorns all-time list for career assists. She now has 547 career assists.
• UPCOMING MILESTONES: Rori Harmon is nine points away from 1,000 for her career and Taylor Jones is six points from 1,500 for her career.
