No. 7 Women’s Golf tied for eighth place after day two of Darius Rucker Intercollegiate

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — The No. 7 Texas women's golf team is tied for eighth place after the second round of the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate on Tuesday.
On a day when only two teams in the field shot under par, the Longhorns shot a seven-over-par 291, but are four shots out of the top four teams. Northwestern leads the field at five-under-par and Arizona State is second at four-under-par. Texas is at seven-over-par for the tournament.
Freshman Farah O'Keefe showed why she is one of the best players in the country as she carded five birdies on her opening nine holes and ended the round with a four-under-par 67. O'Keefe made seven birdies on her scorecard. O'Keefe is tied for second on the individual leaderboard at four-under-par and is two shots back of the leader Grace Summerhays of Arizona State.
The Longhorns will be off at 8:30 a.m. central time for the final round and will be paired with Georgia and Wake Forest.
The Lineup
Farah O'Keefe shot up the leaderboard by 19 spots on day two of the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate. O'Keefe has the third most birdies in the tournament so far with 10 and leads on par-three scoring average at 2.50 and a score of 4-under.
Lauren Kim shot a three-over-par 74 in the second round and is T21 on the individual leaderboard.
Cindy Hsu made four birdies on her round and ranks fourth in the field in total birdies with nine over the two rounds of the tournament. Hsu sits in 31st place on the leaderboard.
Selina Liao carded a round of four-over-par 75 on day two of the tournament. Liao made two birdies on her back nine holes.
Bohyun Park shot a seven-over-par 78 in the second round of the tournament.
