Men’s Swim & Dive’s Carrozza, Duperre earn Academic All-America honors

Coby Carrozza was named to the first-team for the second consecutive year, while Noah Duperre was selected to the first team for the first time.
AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Men's Swimming & Diving's Coby Carrozza and Noah Duperre have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Men's Swimming & Diving First Team, the organization announced on Wednesday. It marked the second-straight year in which Carrozza was selected to the first team and the first time for Duperre, who was a second team honoree in 2023.
Carrozza is a senior who carries a 3.91 grade point average in advertising. He is the fourth Longhorn to be a two-time first-team Academic All-American, joining Cory Bowersox, Nathan Breazeale and Jake Foster. An Austin native, he earned All-American accolades at the 2024 NCAA Championships after placing seventh in the 500 free (4:13.33) and helping the Longhorns to a bronze medal in the 800 free relay. He also won Big 12 titles in the 200 free (1:32.63) and 500 free (4:11.95) and was part of relay victories in the 400 free relay and 800 free relay.
Duperre is a New Albany, Ohio native carrying a 3.95 grade point average in psychology. At last week's NCAA Championship meet he scored points in all diving three events, earning honorable mention All-American honors on 1-meter, 3-meter and platform. He earned Big 12 Championship Diver of the Meet honors after winning gold on 3-meter (446.80) and helping the Longhorns to the first-ever Team Diving title.
All told, 15 student-athletes from Men's Swimming and Diving have been named to the Academic All-America first, second or third teams with a combined 25 total honors in program history. Carrozza and Duperre are the sixth and seventh Longhorns in program history to garner multiple Academic All-American selections.
Academic All-American is a title reserved for college student-athletes who perform at an elite level in their chosen sport and in the classroom. The all-time list of 40,000+ Academic All-Americans includes major sports stars and some of the world's most accomplished individuals in medicine, business, science and the arts. Established in 1952 and selected by College Sports Communicators, Academic All-America is the longest running and premier award for athletic and academic success across championship college sports at all NCAA levels, the NAIA, two-year colleges and Canadian institutions. Teams are announced year round and amplified by CSC member colleges, universities, and conferences on a wide local, regional, national, and even international scope.
