Volleyball announces 2024 schedule

The Longhorns will play 12 total home matches at Gregory Gym as part of the program’s first season as a member of the SEC.
AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Volleyball has announced its complete 2024 schedule, featuring 12 home matches at Gregory Gymnasium. The schedule also features a 16-match league slate for the program's first season as a member of the Southeastern Conference.
The competitive full schedule also features 16 total matches against teams from last season's NCAA Tournament field.
The Longhorns will open their back-to-back National Championship defense with two matches at the Women's College Volleyball Showcase in Milwaukee, Wisc. The season opener will be against Wisconsin on Sunday, Sept. 1 at 11:30 a.m. and Texas will also face Minnesota on Monday, Sept. 2 at 6:30 p.m. The matches will air nationally on FOX and FS1 and will take place at Milwaukee's Fiserv Forum.
Texas begins its' home schedule at Gregory Gym by hosting Indiana and Miami, Sept. 5-7. The Longhorns then welcome Houston on Wednesday, Sept. 11 before heading on the road.
For the first true road match of the season, Texas and Stanford will face off on Sunday, Sept 15 in an Elite 8 rematch from last season. The Longhorns will then return to Texas and face Baylor in Waco on Wednesday, Sept. 18.
In the final non-conference match of the season, Texas will host Hawaii in the first meeting between the teams since 2013.
The Longhorns will then turn their attention to SEC play, starting against rival Texas A&M in College Station on Friday, Sept. 27. Texas will then head to LSU on Sunday, Sept. 29.
The first home SEC match at Gregory Gym will be against South Carolina on Wednesday, Oct. 2.
Texas will also play road SEC matches at Florida (Oct. 6), Kentucky (Oct. 13), Mississippi State (Nov. 6), Auburn (Nov. 15), Alabama (Nov. 17) and Oklahoma (Nov. 22).
The Longhorns are slated to play five-straight home SEC matches in late October to early November, starting against Arkansas on Friday, Oct. 18. Texas will also host home matches against Georgia (Oct. 18), Texas A&M (Oct. 23), Missouri (Nov. 1), Oklahoma (Nov. 3), Tennessee (Nov. 27) and Mississippi State (Nov. 30).
Texas won its seventh-straight conference championship in 2023, it's second-consecutive National Championship and fifth national title overall.
Times and television broadcast information for all Texas Volleyball matches will be released at a later date.
