Byars, Missimo named to 2024 Women’s MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List

Trinity Byars, Lexi Missimo honored by the Missouri Athletic Club to begin the 2024 season
AUSTIN, Texas – On Thursday, the Missouri Athletic Club announced a 44-player 2024 Women's MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List that included two Texas Longhorn women's soccer student-athletes: Trinity Byars and Lexi Missimo. The honor is the third for Missimo (2022-24), while the second consecutive season for Byars (2023-24).
Last season, Missimo, who led the country in total points (72), was one of the final 15 Division I women's soccer student-athletes named as a MAC Hermann semifinalist. In 2022, Byars was named a MAC Hermann semifinalist thus making The University of Texas one of just two Division I women's soccer programs — Saint Louis — with two active student-athletes who have been a MAC Hermann semifinalist during their collegiate women's soccer career.
Six of the 44 student-athletes listed on the 2024 MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List were named among the 2023 MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist, including Missimo.
The 2024 watch list is compiled by members of the Division I Women's All-America Council from a list of returning 2023 All-Americans and First Team All-Region players. The watch list will be trimmed to 15 student-athletes on Dec. 4 at the conclusion of All-American voting. From those 15, three student-athletes will be named finalist, and the 2024 recipient will be announced on January 3, 2025, in a ceremony at the historic Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis, Mo.
