No. 2 Women's Swim and Dive takes down SMU, 218-76

Longhorns sweep all freestyle events against SMU.
AUSTIN, Texas – The No. 2 Texas women's swimming and diving program competed in its first meet of the new year and took down SMU, 218-76.
The 200 medley relay of Emma Sticklen, Piper Enge, Abby Arens and Grace Cooper posted a winning time of 1:35.27 to begin the meet.
The Longhorns swept all five individual freestyle events against the Ponies. Freshman Kate Hurst claimed the 1000 freestyle with her time of 9:36.22. It's the 14th-fastest time in UT history. Oliva McMurray was the runner-up with her time of 9:48.68.
Later, Campbell Chase won the 200 free with a time of 1:44.97 and Jillian Cox was second in 1:46.99. Ava Longi took care of business in the 50 free with her time of 22.25, while Cooper was second in 22.30 and Sienna Schellenger was third in 22.45.
Arens claimed her first individual win of the meet winning the 100 free in 48.66. Cox was the final Longhorn to complete the sweep with her winning time of 4:36.45 in the 500 free. Hurst added a second-place finish in 4:40.95 and Angie Coe was third in 4:49.23.
Freshmen Emma Kern and Lillie Nesty went one and two in the 100 back with times of 52.71 and 53.05, respectively. Graduate student Olivia Bray (1:53.63) and sophomore Berit Berglund (1:55.46) were the top-two finishers in the 200 back.
Enge later claimed the 100 breast with a time of 59.44, Channing Hanley was second (1:01.22), Lindsey Hosch third (1:01.34) and Campbell Stoll was fourth (1:02.06). Hosch was later first in the 200 breast in 2:13.23 and Hanley second in 2:13.40.
Sticklen won the 200 butterfly in 1:50.52, the sixth-fastest time in school history. Stoll later won the 100 fly in 52.00.
Arens claimed her second individual win in the 200 IM with a time of 1:56.80. Erin Gemmell was the runner-up in 1:57.80, Kern was third in 2:01.01 and Enge fourth in 2:01.20. It's the second event the Longhorns took the top-four positions.
The Longhorns closed out the swim portion of the meet with the 'A' 400 free relay winning with a time of 3:14.95 from Bray, Chase, Coe and Nesty.
The divers were led by Bayleigh Cranford on 1-meter with 288.08 points, while Caroline Kupka was third with 286.20 points. Hailey Hernandez won the 3-meter with 330.68 points leading the Longhorns to take the top-six positions.
