No. 2 Volleyball's Stafford, Swindle claim more SEC weekly awards

Stafford named SEC Player of the Week for the second time this season.
AUSTIN, Texas – No. 2 Texas Volleyball's Torrey Stafford and Ella Swindle earned SEC weekly honors the conference announced on Monday.
Stafford was named the SEC Player of the Week and SEC Offensive Player of the Week after averaging 5.22 kills per set and hit .303. In the ninth ranked win of the season, Stafford recorded a career high 30 kills against No. 17 Tennessee and added eight digs, three aces and two blocks and assists. She followed up with a match-leading 17 kills and nine digs in the win at Alabama. The outside hitter ended the week with 47 kills, 17 digs, five blocks and four assists.
It's the second time Stafford has been named the SEC Player of the Week and the third time she's earned Offensive Player of the Week.
Swindle was also tabbed as the SEC Setter of the Week for the second time this season after recording a career high 48 assists in the five-set win over the Volunteers. She added her fourth double-double of the season with her 12 assists and added three kills. Texas ended the match outhitting the NCAA-leading Vols with an attack percentage of .321. In the win at Alabama, Swindle added 32 assists and helped four Longhorns earn double digit kills for just the second time this season. Swindle tallied 80 assists and 15 digs in two matches, averaging nearly nine assists per set.
