No. 3 Volleyball's Stafford named SEC Overall and Offensive Player of the Week

Torrey Stafford sweeps overall and offensive conference award for third time.
AUSTIN, Texas – No. 4 Texas Volleyball's Torrey Stafford was named SEC Player of the Week and Offensive Player of the week, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
Monday's award marks the third time she's swept both award and fourth time she earned Offensive Player of the Week honors.
The junior outside hitter recorded 57 kills over nine sets and hit over .400 at .413 to lead Texas to a 13-2 regular season SEC record in Texas's second season in the league. She averaged 6.33 kills per set and scored 6.56 points per set.
In the 3-2 win at Auburn, Stafford went 10-for-10 on swings and kills before recording a career high 32 kills to lead the match. She also added five digs and an assist. At home, the Torrance, Calif., native hit .408 and tallied 25 kills, four digs, two blocks and an ace and assist. The last regular season match marked the 22nd time Stafford recorded double-digit kills and made it eight straight above 10 kills. The AVCA National Player of the Year semifinalist has 20 plus kills in seven matches this season.
Stafford's award marks the 20th total honor for the Longhorns and first since Cari Spears was named freshman of the week on Oct. 27.
