• NUMBER ONE RECRUITING CLASS: The Longhorns have inked the No. 1 recruiting class for 2026. Texas is the only program to sign multiple top-10 kids. The Longhorns recruiting class of Brihanna Crittendon, Addison Bjorn, Lizzy Spaight and Amalia Holguin has been ranked No. 1 by CBS Sports and the Dan Olson Collegiate Basketball Report.
• DEFENSE GETTING IT DONE: The Longhorns rank third in the NCAA in turnover margin and ninth in turnovers forced per game. Texas is forcing opponents into 28.6 turnovers per game.
• EFFICIENT SCORING: The Longhorns lead the country in field goal percentage at 58.6 percent and have reached 100 points in three of their five games.
• FIRST RANKED WIN: Texas picked up their first ranked win of the season with a 85-56 win over Richmond. Madison Booker notched her 29th career game scoring 20 or more points with 22 and secured her 11th career double-double with 12 rebounds. Booker was also active on the defensive end with seven steals.
• BOOKER DOING IT ALL: Texas All-American Madison Booker is showing her complete game. Through five games, Booker is averaging 17.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 4.2 steals per game. Booker is shooting 56.1 percent from the field. Booker ranks ninth in the country in steals per game.
• FINAL FOUR: The Longhorns are coming off the 2024-25 season in which they advanced to the Final Four for the fourth time in program history and first time since 2003. Texas set a program record for wins in the NCAA Era with 35 and shared the regular season SEC Championship in their first season in the league. Texas has won a regular season or conference tournament championship in each of the last four seasons.
• BOOKER NAMED AP PRESEASON ALL-AMERICAN: For the second straight season Madison Booker has been selected one of five players as an AP Preseason All-American. In the 2024-25 season Booker earned SEC Player of the Year and First Team All-America honors.
• HARMON RECORD WATCH: Point guard Rori Harmon has 763 career assists and needs 14 to break the UT career record of 776 set in 1986 by Kamie Ethridge. Ethridge was the national player of the year in 1986 and helped the Longhorns to a 34-0 season and a national championship. Harmon dished out 12 assists last time out against James Madison.
• BOOKER AND HARMON NAMED TO PLAYER OF THE YEAR WATCH LSIT: Madison Booker and Rori Harmon were named to the Naismith Trophy National Player of the Year watch list this week. Booker and Harmon both earned preseason All-SEC honors from the media and coaches. Texas is 48-4 in games that Harmon and Booker have both played.
• TEXAS PICKED TO WIN SEC: In a vote of the Southeastern Conference head coach the Longhorns were picked to win the SEC championship. Texas earned a share of the 2025 SEC regular season championship in their first year in the league.
• INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION: Madison Booker and Jordan Lee represented USA Basketball in international events this summer. Booker won her fourth gold medal with Team USA as they won the FIBA Women's AmeriCup. Lee was part of the USA basketball team that won gold in the U19 World Cup. It was the second gold medal with Team USA for Lee.
• NEW ADDITIONS: Texas has six newcomers on their roster. Ashton Judd (Missouri), Breya Cunningham (Arizona), Teya Sidberry (Utah, Boston College) and Lovisa Asbrink Hose (FAU) came via transfer and Aaliyah Crump and Grace Prenter are incoming freshmen. Crump was ranked No. 5 in the 2025 class by ESPN.
• TEXAS AT MOODY CENTER: The Longhorns set a record for season ticket sales with over 6,491. Texas has won 29 straight games at Moody Center and have a 54-5 all-time record at their home arena.
• SIDBERRY REACHES 1K POINTS: Teya Sidberry reached 1,000 points for her collegiate career in the game against Louisiana. Last time out Sidberry notched a season-high 18 points for the Longhorns. Sidberry played at Utah and Boston College before coming to Texas and holds the Utah high school career scoring record with 2,534 points.
• FRESHMAN MAKING AN IMPACT: Freshman Aaliyah Crump has scored in double figures in four of her five games. Crump scored a season-high 18 points against Texas Southern. For the season Crump is averaging 13.2 points per game and shooting 47.3 percent from the field.
