AUSTIN, Texas — Ashlyn Anderson has signed an Athletic Scholarship Agreement (ASA) to play soccer at The University of Texas, head coach Margueritte Bates announced Monday morning.
Anderson, who spent this past season at Florida State University, will join the Longhorns for the upcoming 2026 campaign. She has three years of collegiate eligibility remaining.
"We are incredibly excited to bring Ashlyn to The Forty Acres," Bates said. "She loves having the ball at her feet and will add a new dimension to our attack. Beyond that, she will help us quickly set the tone for the championship-caliber mindset and performance we aim to establish."
A native of Carmel, Ind., Anderson appeared in 17 matches for the 2025 national champion Seminoles. The 5-foot-8 forward scored a goal and mounted seven shots across 349 minutes.
Anderson logged at least 20 minutes on 10 occasions, including a season-high 37 minutes in a 4-0 win at Syracuse. She netted her first career tally against Stetson on Sept. 4.
A graduate of Carmel High School, Anderson played club soccer for Indy Premier United in the Girls Academy League (GA).
She is a member of the United States Youth National Team system. During the 2025 Concacaf Women's U-17 Qualifiers, Anderson led the USA with 11 points, including a team-tying four goals. Behind her heroics, the U.S. U-17 Women's National Team qualified for the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup for the seventh time and the fifth in a row.
Anderson has also competed at multiple training camps and earned call-ups for international tournaments at the U-15, U-16 and U-17 levels.
