Rori Harmon honored for career assist record, reaches fourth all-time in steals.
AUSTIN, Texas – The Texas women's basketball team had three players score 16 or more points in a 79-64 victory over No. 11 North Carolina on Thursday at Moody Center.
Jordan Lee scored a career-high of 22 points while also adding five rebounds. Madison Booker added 18 points and six rebounds to help come out with the win. Justice Carlton and Kyla Oldacre combined for 27 points and ten rebounds.
Rori Harmon finished the game with eight assists, marking her seventh game of the year recording five or more. Additionally, Harmon recorded three steals to become the fourth all-time steal leader with 304, passing Esoleta Whaley who played from 1980-84.
Texas ended the opening quarter trailing 21-16 after sophomore Jordan Lee knocked down a three-pointer for the Longhorns' first points. Despite North Carolina putting together a 7-0 run, Texas forced five turnovers in the first period before responding with a 9-0 run of its own. Madison Booker gave the Longhorns their first lead at the free-throw line, making it 23-21 with 7:39 left in the second quarter. The teams traded baskets for the remainder of the half.
Texas held North Carolina without a field goal for the final 4:52 of the second quarter and forced 11 turnovers before closing the half on a 6-0 run to take a 39-31 lead. Kyla Oldacre and Lee each contributed 12 points by halftime. Texas outscored North Carolina 23-10 in the second period.
In the third quarter the Longhorns capitalized off an 8-0 run extending their lead to 49-36. Justice Carlton added 10 points in the third quarter alone making this her fourth straight game scoring 10 or more points. The third quarter ended with a score of 63-46 keeping Texas ahead.
Lee started off the fourth quarter with a steal and a bucket for the Longhorns scoring her 20th point of the game. Rori Harmon got her third steal of the game moving into fourth on the Texas all-time list, while also helping the Longhorns go on another 7-0 run. The Longhorns closed out the game and secured the 79-64 win.

· Texas improved to 9-0 on the season.
· The Longhorns have four ranked wins on the season including beating three top-10 teams.
· Texas won their 31st straight game at Moody Center and improve to 56-5 all-time in games at their home arena.
· Justice Carlton now has four straight double-digit scoring games
· Jordan Lee recorded a career-high 22 points, her second time this season with at least 20 points. Lee shot 10-of-16 from the field.
· North Carolina averaged 81.1 points coming into tonight's game and Texas held them to 64 points. Texas limited North Carolina to two 3-point field goals.
· Rori Harmon moved up to fourth all-time in steals 304 with three tonight.
· Four Longhorns (Lee, Carlton, Booker, Oldacre) recorded double-digits in the win.
· Texas forced 20 turnovers and scored 24 points off them over North Carolina. The Longhorns held a 24-7 advantage in points off turnovers.
· The Longhorns outscored the Tar Heels bench 27-10.
· Texas converted 17-of-21 (81 percent) from the free-throw line.
· The Longhorns turned the ball over just eight times. It marks the seventh time this season Texas has had 11 or fewer turnovers.
· Texas grabbed 13 offensive rebounds and converted them into 15 second chance points.
