No. 2 Women’s Diving duo qualifies for NCAA Championships in the 3-meter

Freshman Alejandra Estudillo Torres won the 3-meter and Bayleigh Cranford finished eighth to both qualify for the NCAA Championships in the event.
IOWA CITY, Iowa – No. 2 Texas Women's Diving's Alejandra Estudillo Torres and Bayleigh Cranford qualified for the 2025 NCAA Championships in the 3-meter Monday afternoon at the CRWC Natatorium highlighted by Estudillo Torres finishing in first with 687.45 total points.
Texas led the field with six student-athletes earning spots in Monday's 3-meter final. Estudillo Torres (1st-687.45), a freshman, was joined by sophomore Bayleigh Cranford (8th-626.75) inside the top-10 qualifying benchmark. Senior Hailey Hernandez placed 11th with a final score of 624.15 and freshman Taylor Fox finished in 12th with a final score of 623.80, respectively. Since Hernandez and Fox recorded a top-12 finish, they have the opportunity to still enter the event at the NCAA Championships if they qualify for either the 1-meter or platform dives. Freshman Jaiden Lynch recorded a 14th-place finish (618.15) and sophomore Amanda Stalfort compiled a 16th-place finish (614.40).
The NCAA Zone D Diving Championships continue at Noon CT Tuesday with the women's 1-meter prelims. The 1-meter finals are slated to begin 3 p.m.
