Track and Field earns five USTFCCCA First-Team All-America honors at NCAA Indoor Championships

Nina Ndubuisi finishes fifth overall in the shot put.
VIRGINA BEACH, Va. – The women of the Texas track and field program finished with five USTFCCCA First Team All-America honors on the final day of the NCAA indoor track and field championships.
Nina Ndubuisi earned her third USTFCCCA First Team All-America in three NCAA Championship appearances after finishing fifth in the women's shot put. Her fourth-round throw of 18.14m (59-6.25) moved to No. 5 on the UT All-Time Performance List. She now holds seven of the top-10 performances in school history. Her fifth-place finish scored four team points for Texas.
The women's 4x400-meter relay of Lauren Lewis, Akala Garrett, Holly Okuku and Ramiah Elliott finished eighth with a season best time of 3:30.65. The Longhorns squad added one point, helping UT finish the meet with five points.
