Texas set to make first-ever trip Starkville, Miss.
STARKVILLE, Miss. – Texas will look for its third consecutive SEC series victory this weekend as the top-ranked Longhorns travel to the Magnolia State for a three-game conference series at No. 18/18 Mississippi State beginning on Friday, Mar. 28.
TELEVISION: A combination of Anthony Craven, Cody Blaszczak, Will Kollmeyer and Brittany McKinney will rotate in the television booth throughout the weekend's SEC Network+ broadcasts.

- Texas will take a 6-0 all-time record against Mississippi State into this weekend's three-game series.
- Friday night's game will mark Texas' first-ever softball game against Mississippi State in Starkville, Miss.

LEADING OFF:
- With eight RBI over the weekend, Reese Atwood will join Katie Stewart as the only student-athletes in program history with multiple seasons of 55-plus RBI.
- Stewart drove in 58 during her first season on the Forty Acres in 2024, before recording 55 RBI so far this season.
- Atwood set the program's single-season RBI mark with 90 throughout the 2024 season and already has 47 this campaign.
- With her next hit, Katie Stewart will be credited with her 100th career hit, joining Kayden Henry (116) as the only active Longhorn sophomores with 100-or-more career hits.
- Mia Scott (268), Reese Atwood (170), Ashton Maloney (168), Leighann Goode (117), Henry (116) and Katie Cimusz (106) are all active Longhorn softball student-athletes with 100-or-more career hits.
- Kayden Henry (50) will enter this weekend's action just three stolen bases shy of tying Mia Scott (53) for 10th place on the program's career stolen base list.
- If she scores five runs over the weekend, Mia Scott (218) will break Janae Jefferson's career runs scored record of 222.
- A sweep of Mississippi State over the weekend would mark the first time since the 2012 season that Texas has lost one-or-fewer games throughout the month of March.
- Additionally, it would also mark the first time since 2012 that the Longhorns have lost one-or-fewer games throughout both February and March.
