Schedule update for No. 4/5 Softball’s series against Kentucky
05.01.2025 | Softball
Texas and Kentucky set to play at 11 a.m. on Friday
AUSTIN, Texas – Due to the potential for inclement weather in and around the Greater Austin area on Friday evening, the second game of Texas and Kentucky's three-game SEC softball series will now begin at 11 a.m. CT instead of the originally scheduled 6 p.m. CT start time.
The change will mark the fifth weather-related alteration to the Longhorns' conference schedule this season. Four of those changes have occurred during road series, while this week's shift is the first to happen at home.
Despite the schedule change, Texas will still honor its six student-athletes in their last season of eligibility – Vanessa Quiroga, Joley Mitchell, Mia Scott, Katie Cimusz, Mac Morgan and Mia Scott – prior to Saturday's series finale.
