AUSTIN, Texas — Former Texas women's basketball All-American Taylor Jones has been selected for the USA Basketball 3X3 Women's Series.
The USA will take the halfcourt this week at the 2025 FIBA 3x3 Women's Series Jakarta in Jakarta, Indonesia. This will be the third stop for the USA on the Women's Series this summer, placing sixth and second at the Marseille and Ulaanbaatar stops, respectively.
The USA will be represented by a new-look quartet, with returner Cierra Burdick being joined by newcomers Linnae Harper, Taylor Jones and Charisma Osborne.
Jones played for the University of Texas this past season and will make her USA Basketball debut at this competition. She attended the 2025 USA Basketball 3x3 development camp in May.
The USA will start play in Qualifying Draw A looking to advance to Pool C. Starting Thursday morning, the USA will take on Mongolia at 12:30 a.m. ET, then later will play Thailand at 2:10 a.m. ET
If the Americans come out on top of their three-team qualifying draw, they would slot into Pool C, where Bonn Baskets (Germany) and Ulaanbaatar Amazons (Mongolia) would await them on Thursday at 5:10 a.m. ET and Bonn at 9:10 a.m. ET.
Finishing as one of the top-two teams in Pool C would advance the USA to the quarterfinals on Friday.
Jones was an Associated Press All-America honorable mention honoree in the 2024-25 season and was a finalist for the Lisa Leslie Center of the Year Award. Jones finished her collegiate career with 1,867 points and 1,098 rebounds.
Following the event in Jakarta the series goes to Canada, Spain, France and Hungary later this summer and culminates with the finals in Shanghai, China.
