Team USA win three-straight NORCECA Pan Am tournaments
COSTA RICA - Texas volleyball's Ayden Ames, Ramsey Gary and Abby Vander Wal helped the U.S. Women's U21 National Team to its third-straight gold medal at the 2025 NORCECA Women's Pan American Cup.
The US went undefeated during the tournament and finished without dropping a set in its last five matches, including a sweep of Chile (25-18, 25-14, 25-13) in the final match.
Gary led all players with 11 digs in the final match against Chile, while Ames helped lead the team with a match-high in blocks with three in the final match of pool play against Chile.
The title against Chile gave US its fourth overall hold medal in the event's history (2017, 2022, 2023 and 2025).
The three Longhorns were joined by freshman Taylor Harvey in making the U.S. Women's U21 National Team, while Ella Swindle and Devin Kahahawai were named to the U23 Team's roster. Eight Longhorns also were named to the USA World Championships wide roster (Saige Ka'Aha' Aina-Torres, Madisen Skinner, Zoe Jarvis, Logan Eggleston, Molly McCage, Brionne Butler, Chiaka Ogbogu and Asjia O'Neal) before bowing out in the quarterfinals of the Volleyball Nation's League against 2024 Olympic Champions, Italy.
