Longhorns travel San Antonio for second meet of the season.
AUSTIN, Texas — The Texas Cross Country programs return to action at the UIW Invitational in San Antonio on Friday, September 12. The men's 4-mile race will begin at 8 a.m., followed by the women's 5K at 8:40 a.m.
Freshman Aidan Torres looks to build on his impressive runner-up finish at the Stormy Seas Opener. Torres will be joined by Hudson Bennett, Jack Boyd, Joaquin De La Cruz, and Zain Hamdani, all of whom posted strong performances in the season opener. Making their season debuts for the Longhorns are seniors Nathanael Berhane, Hudson Heikkinen, Emmanuel Sgouros, and graduate student Trey Rios. Tadhg Donnelly will make his UT debut.
On the women's side, senior Brighton Mooney returns to competition after finishing second at the Stormy Seas Opener. Natasja Beijen, Isabel Conde de Frankenberg, Lily Fawcett, Gia Kurp, Mia Perez, and Kaylin Rendon are all set for their second outing of the season.
Additionally, juniors Aishling Callaham, Marissa Espinoza, Melody Espinoza, senior Elizabeth Pickett, and sophomore Sydni Wilkins will make their season debuts in San Antonio.
