Softball announces 2025 fall schedule

The reigning NCAA National Champions are set to play five fall games at Red & Charline McCombs Field.
AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Softball has announced its 2025 fall schedule, which features five dates to watch the Longhorns at Red & Charline McCombs Field. Each home event is free for the public to attend.
Texas will host Temple College (10 inn.) at 6 p.m. CT Tuesday, Sept. 30, at McCombs Field. Then, the Horns will host Texas State (7 inn.) at 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 3, followed by McLennan Community College (10 inn.) at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14. Texas will then take on SEC foe Texas A&M (7 inn.) at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17. The Longhorns will wrap up their fall slate against Our Lady of the Lake (7 inn.) at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24.

Oct. 24 – Our Lady of the Lake (7 inn.) – 6 p.m. CT
Texas softball is coming off the program's first NCAA National Championship in 2025, posting a program-record 56 wins and a 56-12 overall record. The Longhorns went on a 10-2 postseason run that culminated with a 2-1 Championship Series victory over Texas Tech to claim the national title. The Longhorns have played in the WCWS Championship Series in three of the last four season. The Texas coaching staff was recognized as the ATEC/NFCA National Coaching Staff of the Year. Texas returns NFCA All-Americans Reese Atwood and Teagan Kavan along with All-SEC selections Kayden Henry, Ashton Maloney and Katie Stewart.
