Texas head coach Laura Ianello
"I was really proud of the ladies this week, especially Farah with the victory, Cindy Hsu with a third place finish, just one back and Lauren Kim coming up huge today with a 3-under to finish fifth. You can't really ask much more from your top three. Overall a second place finish for the team. UCLA was pretty tough today making a lot of putts. Our ladies stayed in it. They were confident and composed the whole week and I think if we can piece together a four and five score we will be right there in the winners circle. Overall I saw a lot of really good things. This is the best finish we have had so far this season and this is great to keep building momentum."
"The biggest thing from this week is how present I stayed. Working with Brian Cain has really helped me in having a process to revert back to. I know how I do my best thinking to produce a chance to be successful. Overall a very positive week with the mental side.
As for the chip in, as I was walking up, I honestly thought this looks like it could go in. But then after I thought that, I went straight back to what I needed to focus on which was staying neutral and executing what works for that shot."
"It was truly a very fun week with the team as well. Finishing second in that field is something to be extremely proud of. It might be the second best field to the national championship. We know what to work on moving forward and can't wait to get after it in Florida next week."
