No. 4 Beach Volleyball earns two sweeps on opening day of Death Volley Invitational

Longhorns record fifth and sixth sweeps of the season.
BATON ROUGE, La. – No. 4 Texas Beach Volleyball recorded a pair of sweeps over No. 12 LSU and No. 10 Arizona State on Friday at LSU Beach Volleyball Stadium to open play at the Death Volley Invitational. The Longhorns improved to 12-4 overall, including an 11-4 mark against ranked opponents.
Texas opened the day with a sweep of LSU, clinched on Court 2 as Emma Grace Robertson and Lily Davis secured a 21-17, 21-16 victory. On Court 3, Devin Kahahawai made her season debut on the sand alongside Chloe Charles, earning a 21-17, 21-14, 11-15 win.
The Longhorns closed the day with another sweep, defeating Arizona State. Macey Butler and Kahahawai clinched the dual on Court 3 with a 19-21, 21-13, 15-13 win. Texas has now utilized 17 different pairs during the 2026 season.
Texas returns to action at the Death Volley Invitational on Saturday, March 21, facing No. 16 Grand Canyon at 10:30 a.m. CT and No. 9 California at 3 p.m. CT.
