Beach Volleyball earns 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award

Longhorns were one of 40 Division I programs recognized for academic excellence.
AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Beach Volleyball was recognized with the 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award, the organization announced Thursday. The Longhorns posted a 3.56 team GPA during the spring semester and maintained a cumulative team grade-point average of at least 3.3 throughout the 2025-26 academic year.
The AVCA Team Academic Award honors collegiate and high school volleyball programs that maintain a year-long team GPA of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale). More than 1,400 programs received the recognition for the 2025-26 academic year.
Texas was one of 40 NCAA Division I beach volleyball programs to earn the award.
