No. 5 Women’s Golf in second place after opening round at NCAA Chapel Hill Regional

Cindy Hsu put up 4-under 66 to tie for second place on the individual leaderboard.
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The No. 5 Texas Women's Golf team finished the first round at NCAA Chapel Hill Regional in second place on Monday at UNC Finley Golf Club.
The Longhorns are one of the two teams that shot under-par for day one. Texas recorded 1-under 279 in the first round and is five shots behind first place host North Carolina.
Cindy Hsu concluded round one 4-under 66 with four birdies. Hsu is tied for second on the individual leaderboard, one shot behind first place Megan Streicher.
Farah O'Keefe registered even-par 70 in the first round with three birdies. O'Keefe is T12 on the individual leaderboard, only one shot away from fifth place.
The Longhorns will continue play at the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional on Tuesday at 7 a.m. CT (8 a.m. ET) on hole 1.
The Lineup
Cindy Hsu recorded four birdies to finish 4-under 66 on Monday. Hsu is T2 on the individual leaderboard.
Farah O'Keefe put up three birdies to wrap up round one with even-par 70. O'Keefe is T12 on the individual leaderboard.
Selina Liao registered 1-over 71 along with four birdies on day one. Liao is T18 on the individual leaderboard, one shot behind 12th place.
Lauren Kim birdied holes 6 and 11 to put up 2-over 72 in round one of the Chapel Hill Regional. Kim is T26 on the individual leaderboard.
Angela Heo added three birdies to finish round one 2-over 72. Heo is T26 on the individual leaderboard, one shot behind 18th place.
