No. 6 Beach Volleyball to welcome nation’s best for Texas Invitational

Elite field, free admission and fan giveaways highlight marquee weekend in Austin.
AUSTIN, Texas – The stage is set for one of the premier events of the college beach volleyball season as No. 6 Texas Beach Volleyball hosts a loaded field for the Texas Invitational this weekend. Featuring seven ranked opponents, including the nation's top three teams, the tournament brings championship-level competition to Austin.
The Longhorns will square off against No. 1 UCLA, No. 2 Stanford, No. 3 USC and No. 10 Long Beach State in a series of high-stakes matchups that could shape the national landscape. The field also includes No. 12 LSU, No. 16 Florida Atlantic and No. 17 North Florida, making this one of the deepest invitationals in the country this season.
Texas matches will be held at the Wright-Whitaker Sports Complex, which will also host select non-Texas matchups throughout the weekend. Additional matches will take place at ATX Beach.
Fans will have the opportunity to watch some of the sport's top athletes up close, with all matches offering free admission. The first 250 fans on Friday and Saturday at the Wright-Whitaker Sports Complex will receive a free pair of Texas Longhorns sunglasses. Gates will open one hour prior to first serve each day.

- Texas Beach Volleyball home matches are played at the Wright-Whitaker Sports Complex located at 4901 Guadalupe St.
- ATX Beach is located at 11000 Middle Fiskville Rd Bldg E, Austin, TX 78753.
- Parking is complimentary in the lot west of the main entrance off Guadalupe Street courtesy of Texas Athletics.
- Bleacher seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis on the courts and fans may also stand in designated standing room only areas on the perimeter of the courts.
- The Texas Longhorns Official Team Shop will be open for all Texas home matches.
- Dual meet matches are formatted in five best-of-three sets, pairs matches, with each pairs match being worth one point (similar to tennis singles). Each pairs match is won by the team that wins two sets. Each set is played first to 21 points (instead of 25 for indoor), and a team must win by at least two points. If the sets are tied 1-1, the decisive third set is played to 15, where the winner must again win by at least two points. Beach volleyball uses rally scoring, which gives both teams — whether serving or not — a chance to score points on each given rally.
