No. 6 Women’s Golf finishes tied for second after SEC Championship stroke play

Texas will be the No. 2 seed for match play and take on No. 7 seed Texas A&M in the quarterfinals.
BELLEAIR, Fla. – Led by a runner-up finish by Farah O'Keefe, the No. 6 Texas women's golf team earned the No. 2 seed for match play after the conclusion of stroke play on Sunday at Pelican Golf Club.
The Longhorns finished with a tournament score of 3-under for the stroke play portion and tied with Oklahoma for second position, but earned the tiebreaker based on the score of the non-counting player. The Longhorns will take on No. 7 seed Texas A&M, who shot a score of 3-over for the stroke play portion of the tournament.
O'Keefe carded a 1-under 69 and completed three rounds under par and 6-under for the stroke play portion of the tournament. O'Keefe has finished in the top-three in each of her last four tournaments.
Texas and Texas A&M will tee off hole one at 7:50 a.m. CT on Monday.
The Lineup
Farah O'Keefe played her back nine holes at 2-under-par and made three birdies in her third round on the way to a 1-under score for the round and 6-under for the tournament. O'Keefe has shot par of better now in 26 of her 30 rounds of play. O'Keefe has earned back-to-back runner-up finishes at the SEC Championship and earned her eighth top-five finish of the season and fourth straight top-three finish.
Cindy Hsu carded a round of 2-over 72 and finished 2-under for the tournament and in 11th place on the leaderboard. Hsu carded three birdies in her final round of stroke play.
Lauren Kim carded a round of 2-over 72 and finished 1-under for the tournament and T12 on the individual leaderboard. Kim made a pair of birdies on holes five and 13 in her final round.
Selina Liao carded a round of 4-over on Sunday and finished at 7-over for the tournament and T44 on the leaderboard. Liao birdied holes 14 and 16 on her back nine holes.
Angela Heo carded a round of 10-over in the third round of stroke play. Heo finished 12-over for the tournament and T65 on the leaderboard. Heo birdied the 13th hole in her final round of stroke play.
