AUSTIN, Texas – No. 3 Beach Volleyball is set to host the Longhorn Showdown on April 3-4 at the Wright-Whitaker Sports Complex.
Texas welcomes No. 19 Washington, Tulane, and Houston Christian for the two-day event.
The Longhorns climbed three spots to No. 3 in the latest AVCA poll, the highest ranking in program history, following three ranked wins against No. 1 UCLA, No. 3 USC and No. 10 Long Beach State at last week's Texas Invitational. Texas' only loss during that stretch came against No. 2 Stanford.
Texas secured its first win over a top-ranked opponent in program history with a 3-2 victory over UCLA.
Brecht Piersma and Katie Hashman delivered clinching wins on Court 1 in all three victories.
The Longhorns enter the weekend with a 16-6 record, including a 15-6 mark against ranked opponents.
Saturday's final matchup will be determined by the results of the earlier matches.
