Farah O’Keefe tied for third place at Chevron Championship

HOUSTON– The No. 4 ranked women's golf amateur in the world, Texas junior Farah O'Keefe earned an exemption into the LPGA's Chevron Championship and is making the most of it as she sits tied for third on the leaderboard after 36 holes and the second round on Friday.
O'Keefe, one of eight amateur players in the field of 132 made five birdies and carded an opening round of 4-under 68 and was T4 on Thursday. O'Keefe came back with a bogey free round of 3-under 69 on Friday for a 7-under score for the tournament through 36 holes.
O'Keefe's opening round of 68 tied the second-lowest first-round score by an amateur in a major championship, and the lowest O'Keefe has shot in any of her three previous LPGA Tour starts, a slate of events that includes the 2021 Volunteers of America Classic, the 2023 U.S. Women's Open at Pebble Beach and the 2025 U.S. Women's Open at Erin Hills.
O'Keefe carded a 3-under 69 on Friday with three birdies, including a birdie on 18 to close out her round.
In her collegiate season O'Keefe has three tournament victories and has finished in the top-10 in each of her 10 college tournaments. O'Keefe has finished in the top-three in each of her last four collegiate events.
