SEATTLE – Texas women's golf junior Lauren Kim qualified for her third U.S. Women's Open on Tuesday at a qualifier at Rainier Golf & Country Club in Seattle.
Kim, the No. 15 ranked amateur player in the world rankings, has secured a spot in the 81st U.S. Women's Open, which will be played June 4-7 at The Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, California.
Kim has previously competed in the 2022 U.S. Women's Open at Pine Needles Lodge & Golf Club and the 2023 U.S. Women's Open at Pebble Beach.
Kim earned medalist honors in the 36-hole qualifier in Seattle with rounds of 2-under 70 and 4-under 68 for a total 6-under 138.
Kim has finished in the top-10 in three of her last four events and a T12 finish at the SEC Championship. Kim was the runner-up at the Charles Schwab Women's Collegiate and finished in seventh place at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate to help the Longhorns will that team title. Kim recently competed in the Augusta National Women's Amateur for the third time and represented Canada in the Palmer Cup and World Amateur Team Championship last year.
The Longhorns will be represented at the U.S. Women's Open for the fifth straight year among amateur players.
