Texas welcomes Oklahoma for a three-game series on April 10-12 at McCombs Field.
AUSTIN, Texas – No. 4 Texas Softball welcomes the No. 2 Oklahoma Sooners for a three-game series on April 10-12 at McCombs Field. Friday's series opener will begin at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN2. Beth Mowins (play-by-play), Jessica Mendoza (analyst) and Michele Smith (analyst) will be in the booth for all three games. Fans can also tune into Andrew Haynes on Texas' radio broadcast for all three games on 103.1 FM, https://texas.leanplayer.com/ or the iHeart Radio app.
Game two between the Longhorns and Sooners is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN, and Sunday's series finale is scheduled for 1 p.m. on ESPN.
Notes
- Texas and Oklahoma will meet for the 93rd time in history on Friday. Oklahoma leads the all-time series, 64-28. The Longhorns are 13-21 against the Sooners at home.
- Junior RHP Teagan Kavan enters the series against the Sooners with 489 career strikeouts, just 11 strikeouts shy from reaching 500 career strikeouts. Kavan would become just the sixth pitcher in program history to compile 500 career strikeouts, joining Cat Osterman (2,265), Blaire Luna (1,428), Meagan Denny (988), Christa Williams (678) and Tiarra Davis (508). Kavan's 489 career strikeouts rank sixth in program history.
- The Longhorns are 12-4 against ranked opponents this season.
- Texas is ranked No. 4 across all four major polls this week in ESPN.com/USA Softball, NFCA, D1Softball and Softball America. Texas has been ranked in 68-consecutive NFCA Coaches polls.
- Texas has accumulated 16 run-rule victories this season, including two in league play. Texas set a program record with 23 run-rules in 2025.
- Texas is fresh off of the program's first Women's College World Series (WCWS) National Championship in 2025. The Longhorns finished the historic season with a program-record 56 victories and a 56-12 overall record.
- The Longhorns' 10-2 postseason run in 2025 culminated with a 2-1 Championship Series (third appearance in four years) win over Texas Tech. In the winner-takes-all game three, the Longhorns clinched a 10-4 victory.
- Head coach Mike White is in his eighth season at helm of the Texas program and holds a 347-95-2 (.784) overall record during his time on the Forty Acres. In 17 combined seasons between Oregon (nine seasons) and Texas (eight seasons), White sports a 783-206-4 (.791) overall record.

- Texas is facing top-four opponents on back-to-back weekends after traveling to No. 4 Alabama last weekend.
- Texas clinched a series victory vs. No. 15 Texas A&M on March 27-29, going 2-1 on the weekend.
Home Field Advantage
- Texas is 17-1 at home this season. Prior to the Texas A&M series, UT was 15-0 at home .
- The Longhorns are 655-161-3 (.799) all-time at home. In 2025, Texas went 27-4 (.871). All four of Texas' home losses in 2025 came against top-13 ranked teams.
- Following UT's 11-0 (5) home opening win vs. Abilene Christian on Feb. 12, Texas has won four-consecutive home openers, dating back to the 2022 season.
- The Horns have won nine of their last 10 home openers.

Feeling Golden
- Texas seniors Reese Atwood and Leighann Goode were presented with Golden Tickets from the AUSL on March 28 following Texas' win vs. Texas A&M, signifying their draft into the professional softball league. AUSL Commissioner Kim Ng presented both Golden Tickets, which were some of the first in the rollout of this year's AUSL College Draft class.
- Atwood's Golden Ticket selection comes just a week after being announced as the second NIL athlete in AUSL history.
- The draft order and team selections will be revealed at the AUSL College Draft Show on May 4 at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN2.
- Atwood and Goode are two of seven college softball players to receive golden tickets. Texas is the only program with multiple golden ticket recipients this season.
