Texas and Arizona State begin the Austin Super Regional at 8 p.m. CT Friday, May 21, at McCombs Field.
AUSTIN, Texas – The NCAA Austin Super Regional between No. 3 Texas and No. 19 Arizona State begins at 8 p.m. CT Friday, May 22, at McCombs Field. The game will broadcast on ESPN2 with Kevin Brown (play-by-play), Amanda Scarborough (analyst) and Alyssa Lang (reporter) on the call. Saturday's game two is scheduled for 7 p.m. on ESPN. Fans can also tune into Andrew Haynes on Texas' radio broadcast on https://texas.leanplayer.com/ or the iHeart Radio app.
Notes
- The Longhorns advanced to the program's seventh-straight Super Regional and 11th Super Regional overall. Texas is 15-11 in Super Regionals and has won back-to-back ones.
- The Longhorns are currently on a seven-game win streak – the second-longest this season.
- Texas has 26 NCAA Tournament appearances, including 21-consecutive tournament appearances.

- Junior first baseman Katie Stewart became the program's first SEC Player of the Year after earning the award on May 8. Stewart is the fourth Longhorn to garner conference player of the year, joining Reese Atwood (2024), Taylor Thom (2014) and Amy Hooks (2011).
- Sitting at 585 career strikeouts, junior RHP Teagan Kavan needs 15 punchouts to eclipse 600 career Ks. Kavan's 585 strikeouts ranks fifth in program history.
- Cat Osterman (2,265), Blaire Luna (1,428), Meagan Denny (988), Christa Williams (678), Teagan Kavan (585) and Tiarra Davis (508) are the only players in program history to reach 500 career Ks.
Series History
- Texas and Arizona State will meet for the 20th time in history on Saturday with ASU leading the all-time series, 10-9.
- Texas and Arizona State meet for the first time since 2022. Arizona State won that game, 2-0, in Austin.
- It'll be the first time both programs meet each other in the postseason since the 2006 WCWS in Oklahoma City. Texas won that game, 2-0, on June 1, 2006.
- It'll be just the second time the programs meet in Austin and first since 2022.

- Texas' SEC Tournament Championship game vs. Alabama on May 9 was the most-watched college softball game this season, bringing in 847,000 viewers.
- Texas also had the top two most-watched regular season game this season vs. Georgia on April 19 with 725,000 viewers watching. The second-most watched college softball game this year was between the Longhorns and Oklahoma on April 11 when 700,000 tuned in.
- Three of Texas' games were in the top 5 of college softball's most viewed games during the regular season.
- Texas vs. Oklahoma on May 12 brought in 581,000 viewers, making it the third-most watched college softball game of the regular season.
The Road to OKC Runs Through Austin
- Texas is looking to clinch its ninth trip to the WCWS this weekend, including its third-straight year punching a ticket to OKC.
- Texas has made the WCWS in three of the last four years.
