Eden, Stedile brings All-America, all-conference experience to Austin.
AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Beach Volleyball head coach Stein Metzger announced the addition of transfer student-athletes Emma Eden and Izadora Stedile to the Longhorns' roster for the 2027 season.
Eden arrives in Austin after two standout seasons at Pepperdine, while Stedile joins Texas following one season of beach volleyball at Hawai'i and four indoor volleyball seasons at Hofstra.
A native of Albuquerque, N.M., Eden earned All-West Coast Conference First Team honors in each of her two seasons with the Waves and was named the 2025 WCC Co-Freshman of the Year. She compiled a 51-16 overall record during her Pepperdine career, including a 26-win campaign while competing exclusively on the No. 1 court in 2026.
In 2026, Eden garnered All-WCC First Team recognition after posting a 26-14 record on court one. She also earned WCC All-Academic Team honors and competed in the AVCA Fall Pairs Tournament.
During her freshman season, Eden posted a 25-8 record and collected ranked victories over then-No. 1 UCLA, No. 1 TCU and No. 10 Long Beach State. She finished the year undefeated at the WCC Championship and was recognized with AVCA Top Flight honors while earning a spot on the WCC All-Freshman Team.
Prior to her collegiate career, Eden starred at Albuquerque Academy, earning multiple all-state honors and finishing her high school career with 145 aces, 548 kills, 842 assists, 432 digs and 116 blocks. She also enjoyed success on the club circuit with Abq Juniors and Bak Beach, earning top finishes at BVCA Nationals, AVP East Coast Championships and AAU Nationals.
Stedile joins the Longhorns after earning AVCA All-America Second Team and All-Big West First Team honors at Hawai'i in 2026. Competing primarily on court one, she led the Rainbow Wahine with 23 victories and a .742 winning percentage while helping anchor one of the nation's top pairs.
The Curitiba, Brazil, native opened the season on court two with victories over pairs from No. 6 Texas and No. 1 UCLA before spending the final 30 matches of the season on court one. Stedile earned AVCA Top Flight honors and was named the OUTRIGGER Duke Kahanamoku Beach Classic Best Blocker after helping Hawai'i secure several key victories against nationally ranked opponents.
Before transitioning to beach volleyball, Stedile enjoyed one of the most decorated indoor careers in Hofstra history. A four-year standout for the Pride, she became just the third player in program history to earn AVCA All-America recognition, collecting honorable mention honors in 2025. She was also named AVCA All-Region and the Coastal Athletic Association Player of the Year that season after earning first-team all-conference honors.
Stedile was a three-time all-CAA selection, including first-team recognition in 2024 and 2025, and was named both the CAA Rookie of the Year and Hofstra's Rookie of the Year as a freshman in 2022. She also earned a spot on the CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll during each of her first three seasons.
In her native Brazil, Stedile excelled in both indoor and beach volleyball, earning the Viva Volei Trophy as the top player in a Brazilian adult superleague match in 2021. She was also recognized as the state's top attacker and earned multiple individual honors throughout her youth career.
Texas is coming off an historic season in 2026, capturing its second consecutive conference championship after winning the MPSF title one year after claiming the CCSA crown in 2025. The Longhorns have earned NCAA Championship berths each of the last two seasons and reach the program's first championship semifinal in 2026
