Softball signs Texas Tech transfer Samantha Lincoln

AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Softball has signed former Texas Tech LHP Samantha Lincoln, head coach Mike White announced Tuesday. Lincoln is immediately eligible with two years of eligibility remaining.
Lincoln is a 6-0 LHP from Taunton, Mass., and spent two seasons at Texas Tech from 2025-26. In 52 career appearances, Lincoln has compiled a 15-3 record with a 3.48 ERA and 123 strikeouts across 146.2 innings. As a sophomore in 2026, Lincoln made 25 appearances with 12 starts, compiling a 7-0 record with a 3.47 ERA and 67 strikeouts across 74.2 innings of work. The southpaw held opponents to a .240 batting average, tossing four complete games and two shutouts. Lincoln had a stellar start vs. UCF (March 22) when she struck out seven across 7.0 innings and did not give up an earned run. Lincoln twirled 12.2 innings in the NCAA Tournament, including 3.1 frames against Texas in game one of the WCWS Championship Series on June 3.
As a freshman in 2025, Lincoln saw action in 27 games with 11 starts and amassed an 8-3 record with two saves and 56 strikeouts. Lincoln finished the season with a 3.50 ERA on 72.0 innings. She tossed the fifth perfect game in Texas Tech program history against UMass on Feb. 15, 2025, after going 7.0 innings with nine strikeouts. In two appearances against Houston (April 12-13, 2025) she threw 5.0 innings and allowed just three hits while striking out six batters and allowing no runs. She went 3.0 no-hit innings against Texas in the final game of the WCWS Championship Series while striking out four batters.
Lincoln was the No. 17 recruit in the class of 2024 and was named Massachusetts Gatorade Player of the Year. She was a two-time All-Scholastic Team member, graduating high school Magna Cum Laude for her work in the classroom. She played travel ball for the Louisville Lady Sluggers. Lincoln is the daughter of Tom and Michelle Lincoln and has two brothers, Brad and Ryan.
Texas is coming off back-to-back NCAA WCWS Championships. The Longhorns swept Texas Tech in two games in the Championship Series on June 3-4. It's the program's second overall national title. Texas has appeared in the WCWS Championship Series in four of the last five years. The Horns also took home the SEC Tournament Championship trophy in 2026 – the program's first SEC Tournament title and fifth overall conference tournament championship.
