Volleyball places five on U.S. Women’s VNL Finals roster

Longhorns helped lead the United States into the Volleyball Nations League Finals as the tournament's No. 1 seed.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – After helping the United States earn the No. 1 seed for the 2026 Volleyball Nations League (VNL) Finals, five former Texas Volleyball standouts have once again been selected to the U.S. Women's National Team roster, USA Volleyball announced on Saturday.
Setter Saige Ka'aha'aina-Torres, middle blockers Molly McCage, Chiaka Ogbogu and Asjia O'Neal, outside hitter Logan Eggleston will represent Texas in the VNL Finals, set for July 22-26 in Macao, China. Texas is the only collegiate program with five representatives on the 15-player roster.
Head coach Erik Sullivan retained the same 15-player roster for the third consecutive week after the Americans finished preliminary play with a 10-2 record to claim the tournament's No. 1 seed. The United States will face host China, the No. 8 seed, in the quarterfinals on July 23 at 6:30 a.m. CT.
The United States advanced to the VNL Finals after posting a 10-2 record during preliminary play, with its only losses coming against Canada in week one and Poland in week three. The top seven teams in the preliminary standings earned berths to the Finals, while China qualified automatically as the host nation after finishing ninth.
The U.S. Women are the reigning Olympic silver medalists and are ranked No. 3 in the world behind Italy and Brazil. The Americans have won three Volleyball Nations League titles (2018, 2019 and 2021) since the competition began in 2018 and advanced to the quarterfinals in 2025.
The U.S. Women's National Team is led by head coach Erik Sullivan in his second season and is assisted by Tayyiba Haneef-Park, Brandon Taliaferro and Rob Browning.
