Longhorns make up one-third of the Americans' 15-player squad as the United States enters the final week of preliminary play atop the VNL standings.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Five former Texas Volleyball standouts have once again been selected to the U.S. Women's National Team roster for week three of the 2026 Volleyball Nations League (VNL), USA Volleyball announced on Thursday. The final week of preliminary play is set for July 8-12, in Osaka, Japan.
Setter Saige Ka'aha'aina-Torres, middle blockers Molly McCage and Asjia O'Neal, and outside hitter Logan Eggleston were named to the 15-player roster for the third consecutive week, while Olympian Chiaka Ogbogu earned her second selection of the summer. Texas is the only collegiate program with five representatives on the 15-player roster.
Head coach Erik Sullivan will take the same 15-player roster to Japan that helped the United States post a perfect 4-0 record during week two in the Philippines. The Americans enter the final week of preliminary play atop the Volleyball Nations League standings with a 7-1 record and will open play against Thailand at 1:30 a.m. CT on July 8.
The Volleyball Nations League features the top 18 national teams in the world competing across three weeks of preliminary play before the top eight teams advance to the Final Round to compete for the VNL Championship.
The U.S. Women are the reigning Olympic silver medalists and are ranked No. 4 in the world. The Americans have captured three Volleyball Nations League titles (2018, 2019 and 2021) since the competition began in 2018.
The U.S. Women's National Team is led by head coach Sullivan in his second season at the helm and is assisted by Tayyiba Haneef-Park, Brandon Taliaferro and Rob Browning.
